To The West And The Livermore Valley

Looking to the west from Top of the World on Patterson Pass Rd, you see mostly smaller hills and not much of the Livermore Valley. When I first started riding out here over 30 years ago, it was almost all ranching. Now, the Valley is almost all grapes. Artesian wine making is big business, along with the older wineries like Wente and Concannon. (As an aside, I met one of the Concannon gals of my age. A friend dated her a bit and he brought her by the bowling alley one night.)
