And Two More Things

I commented on something about Hearst Castle on my tape that I want to mention here. The tour isn't exactly rushed, but there's no dilly dallying around. And we had a good sized group. So, what that meant for me was that I couldn't really do a good job on both the stills and the video. I didn't want to only take stills or only take video, and there wasn't really enough time in the rooms to do a real credible job with both devices. Leaving me with kind of a half assed job on both stills and video. At least on the inside tour.
Now, they let you stay on the outside for as long as you wanted. My back started to bother me, so we really kind of highlighted the grounds. Since her near fatal car accident a few years ago, Marie sometimes struggles with stairs. And there's a lot of them on the tour, even though the Great Rooms tour is wheelchair friendly. Actually, the family with the gal in the wheelchair got their own guide and tour.

The second thing is that I think some of my back woes are due to a kidney stone moving. Of course I am way too heavy for my own good and the giant set of twins I'm carrying isn't helping my back any. And, I think humping papers since I was 13 years old has finally caught up with me. Furthermore, arthritis runs in my DNA and I have signs of it all over. That isn't helping matters any.
I felt the stone move out of my kidney and into the urethra yesterday, and the spasms have let up overnight.
I also bought a workout belt that just barely fits. I will say my back felt good wearing it, and it isn't nearly as stiff and sore as it has been. I've got to fix this as it is hindering my enjoying retirement.
